Recent reports suggest that the tech giant is diligently working on its potential successor, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. While an official release date is yet to be confirmed, leaked specifications have surfaced online, providing a glimpse into what the tablet might offer. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, bringing forth notable enhancements. Notably, it is expected to feature a high-quality LCD display boasting a remarkable 144Hz refresh rate.
Digital Chat Station, a reliable source on Weibo, has shared insights indicating that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will sport a 144Hz refresh rate LCD display and be driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. If these leaks prove accurate, it signifies a significant advancement over its predecessor, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, which housed the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Additionally, details suggest that the upcoming tablet will showcase a distinctive square-shaped camera module positioned at the top left corner of the rear panel.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, launched in China this April alongside the Xiaomi Pad 6, is priced starting at CNY 2,399 (approximately ₦264,216.12) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant.
Running on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro boasts an 11-inch 2.8K LCD display with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. It features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front houses a 20-megapixel sensor.
Storage options include up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. Powering the device is an 8,600mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Notably, the tablet is equipped with four microphones and four stereo speakers, offering Dolby Atmos support and earning Hi-Res audio certification.
